Andrea and Jose met at a New Year’s party through Andrea’s best friend 5 years ago. Since that December 31st, they became inseparable. At the time, Andrea lived in Hollywood and Jose on the other side of town. Evening conversations became expensive (expensive enough for Andrea to rack up 4 bills on a phone bill…yikes!) BUT, what a testament to love right? Moving in together seemed like a sweeter option and that they did.
So one day, Jose and Andrea took a trip to Descanso Gardens and according to Andrea, Jose acted a bit “unnatural”, nervous you might say. So they played a bit under an old enormous tree and this is where Jose popped the question.
It was so fun and amazing shooting Andrea and Jose’s engagement at UCLA’s Royce Hall and the Griffith Observatory. They added a little touch to the shoot, bringing along Mr. Chai! their awesomely adorable (and feisty) Yorkie. Don’t mess with Chai, because he is a diva (or divo?). Such a blast spending time with this unit and CAN’T wait to shoot their wedding in July!
So, because Andrea mentioned how expensive the phone bill can be especially when it comes to that first stage of a relationship, I dusted my Doogie Howser, M.D. memory and this came to mind:
“Spent Saturday night proving the art of conversation is not dead… maybe just a little more expensive. A small price to pay for finding a new best friend.”
That’s a little Doogie Howser for ya. Cheers!
That guitar is a most treasured memory and cradled legacy from Jose’s father. Beautiful intricate details still in it’s original case.
Absolutely LOVE this photo of Andrea!
and this one too!
